Toddler Trials
Have I mentioned that Dallin is now obsessed with dogs?? He absolutely loves them. Anytime he hears or sees one he proceeds to pant like a dog until I say "yes, that is a doggy!" I must say that he has been totally out of control this weekend. I just got finished reading Amanda's post about Carter being so well behaved at the public library and I laughed. They won't even allow Dallin in the library anymore. He is a complete crazy man there. He runs around pulling all the books off the shelf and hollering at the top of his lungs! They have a picture of him on the front door with a huge red circle and a slash through it. We are at the throws of toddler hood here at the Anthon household. I try to keep smiling as he golf's with the decorative balls on my armoire. Last night Jake had to search for 30 minutes to find the remote to our television...Dallin had thrown it into my preschool trashcan. I know 20 years from now I will look back on these memories fondly.
This week was one I wouldn't mind doing over again. Our entire family has been sick this week which makes for a very cranky bunch. If I posted pictures of some of the outfits we have been lounging in you would get a good laugh...especially at some of Dallin's creative ensembles. Usually I take great pride in dressing Dallin up everyday but this week was different. I just didn't have the energy. The other day I looked down at him and he had on mismatched pajamas...dinosaurs on top, doggies on the bottom and then to top it off some bulldozer socks...it was pretty funny. By the end of the week he didn't even have bottoms on because he was going through 25 diapers a day at the bare minimum. To make matters worse his diaper rash was so severe that I had to bathe him after every diaper change. All I can say is being sick is for the birds.

For Christmas we flew to Houston to visit Jake's family. The flight their with our precious toddler was a nightmare. Dallin was not easy to manage on the plane and I must admit I am not looking forward to our 6 hour flight to Hawaii coming up in October. We had a great time during our visit. The Fuller's came up to see us for New Year's and Dallin and Brayden spent a good deal of time and enrgy destroying grandma's house. Sorry Sue! I am not sure if we will be invited back next year!:)
Nursery!!
This photo really sums up Christmas 2007 for me. Dallin just adores Christmas trees this year. He takes notice of each and every ornament(usually in his mouth) and tries to be gentle with the glass ones. I had to stop visiting friends in December as Dallin took great pleasure in undecorating their homes and yards. I have to admit I was so grateful when we returned home and the plastic candy canes were no longer in our neighbor's yard. Dallin can pull those things out in record making speed. It became quite the exciting game for him! He looks so cozy in this picture taken at the lake house in San Antonio.
