I must have at least 96 pictures of the back of my child's head at the zoo but here are some of my faves...I call this one the butt shot as he squeezed his way into get a better view of the stingrays...he was a bit frightened of them. Last but not least we saw the reptiles and the frogs which he really liked. He was so filthy on the drive home that I seriously considered rinsing him off with our garden hose but he was to cranky and over tired! All in all it was a lot of fun and we will be buying a zoo membership when the weather gets cool again!

Next stop was the water park area which Dallin liked of course. He made some mud pies and some new half naked friends...off to the Sting Ray exhibit
and by this time mommy if definately draggin...we paid extra to get into see the stingrays but Dallin was most interested in the cool handwashing station that was right at his level...figures...I am sure we could have done that for cheaper but no biggee.
Dallin"s new favorite animal is the elephant. He was very concerned that the elephant was very dirty and kept telling me that he needed a bathe. He had dirt and grass on his back. It was nice to see one up close and personal..

We stopped to look at the orangutans
...sp?? and they had the cutest little baby in the pen. They kept leaving until Dallin dumped an entire soda cup of ice over the side...I thought the zookeeper would have my head as an irresponsible parent but it turns out the monkeys love ice! They came back out and everyone was able to watch them because of my mischivious toddler!
I love the picture of him comparing his hands with theirs!
My latest grocery trip
Okay so I broke my own personal record at Fry's last night. Many of you know I have been doing Coupon Sense since November and tonight I saved 94%...pretty exciting ( I know I need to get out more)
Here is what I bought:
6 boxes of quaker cereal
2 boxes of Captain Crunch
bananas
large tub of yogurt
1 gallon of milk
10 bags of Hall's cough drops
10 bags of Quaker rice cakes
6 handsoaps
1 Kashi frozen pasta dish
5 packs of gum
and 1 bag of grapes
and the total was .......
drum roll please.....$12.00 yea!
I saved $100.10
I was pretty excited until I went home and discovered that they over charged me $2.11
I would go back but I figured I would spend more in gas.....

I am not sure why I bought Dallin Spring/Summer shoes this year as he spends the majority of his day trying to take them off....alas this is the last picture of him in this cute hat as it will barely fit on his huge cranium anymore. Yesterday I bought him a cute bucket hat from Janie and Jack ( don't worry it was on clearance) and guess what size it is??? A 6-8 year. Granted it is a bit on the big side but come on....and people wonder why I don't have another baby yet...lets hope the next one comes a month early too!
"Follow the Child"
So the other day Dallin and I decided to walk to a friend's house which is not terribly far from our house. It ended up taking us 45 minutes to get there as Dallin wanted to look at every flower, bug, weed, fountain, cat etc. on the way. We finally made it to Jen's house but it definately brought new meaning to Montessori's famous quote... "Follow the child"
