Towards the end of Spring Break Dallin and I decided to make the 3 hour drive to SanAntonio inorder to visit Jeff, Ang and Brayden. It was a scary drive to do alone and for the first time(that bridge getting out of Houston is freaky) but luckily Ang talked us through it and we eventually made it safe and sound. The trip was definately worth the drive as we were able to see the mansions Jeff builds! Dallin and Brayden ran around the unfinished house while Jeff told me all about the details of house building. Very cool indeed...but lots of unfinished staircases which really freaked me out (I hate stairs). I loved when Dallin got the toy vacumn cleaner out as if to say "Lets clean this joint up!"

We went to the mall in Houston and Dallin got some cute duds at Pumpkin Patch ( I love that store). Here he is carrying around the bag ad wondering what ridiculous get up he was going to hve to wear next....my poor little Ken doll.

These are pictures only a mother could love. It rained one day on vacation and that was the perfect opportunity to squeeze my growing son back into one of my favorites of his winter outfits. I call this his "naughty boy" outfit.
This was where Dallin spent most of his time at grandma's house. She does not have a high chair so Dallin sat in a booster chair which he could climb in and out of independently. He spent most of his time eating on vacation! So granny if you are reading this....this is where most of your prized rasberry jelly ended up!

As you can imagine after all that fun Dallin was exhausted...but he did model his new sandals quite nicely:)

After lunch grandma took Dallin and I to this very cool toy shop. Dallin had a blast there as it is definately a child's haven there. They also sold Stride Rite shoes there! Dallin really loves play kitchens right now....he is just like his daddy. This one was very cool....blue and retro designed...I just wish we were made of money as it cost more than most real kitchens. Dallin also liked playing on the exercise equiptment which was so funny to watch!

The Ice House

In Houston they have this cool restaurant called the Ice House where they have an outdoor sand box with beach sand and sand toys! Dallin was able to play while we enjoyed a beautiful lunch and gorgeous weather! It was lovely and one of my favorite memories from Spring Break.
This picture is so special to me....I'm not sure why.

This was the first day of our vacation in Houston. I think Dallin looked so peaceful and pensive in these shots.

Same Boy....Different Seasons!

Dallin loves his grandparent's Spa! Here he is leaning over it to touch the clear blue water in December and then again in March when we went to visit!
So cute....he is such a creature of habit.

Oh Dallin! He has this wierd new habit of carrying around crackers in his hand all day long....the same cracker! He even takes a nap with it still in his hand. It really icks me out as you can imagine they get soggy and gross after awhile and I have to keep swithching them out with fresh ones. Sometimes he will take a little nibble on one but most of the time he just holds it. I talked to his pediatrician about it thinking we might need a psych consult but he says it is normal for him to try to get attatched to things at this age....but a cracker???? I think I have finally talked Jake into letting him carry around a blankie instead. It definately wierds me out less. Here is a picture of the tantrum he throws when I take his cracker away. He was hating my camera that day...I don't blame him but hey its for posterity right??

Bath Time

I believe that Dallin would spend his entire childhood in the bathtub if I let him which is fine with me as for the most part he stays out of trouble. Here he is crying after I took his cup away(he loves to pour water on the floor). He is getting more dramatic by the day. He has these fake cries that he tries...as if he has seen it on television and wants to try them out for attention...its pretty hilarious!

Dallin's Room

Some of you have asked for a picture of Dallin's room so here is one of his shelves. He has a vintage boy room right now. He used to have a barnyard nursery but since we moved into the bigger house his room has had a bit of a makeover!

Getting so big!

At 19 months Dallin is already starting to look like a
"big" boy! He is getting very tall and uses sign language all through out the day to tell me what he wants. As of yet he usually signs for food and candy but I look forward to teaching him more signs so he can communicate all the more. He is already so smart and independent. I just love watching him grow into a little man.

Just a normal day around here!

Dallin has this wierd habit of rolling on top of his rubber ball. He has done it ever since he was a baby but until now I have never captured it on camera. It always makes me laugh when he does it!

Grandpa Larry is in town!

Dallin spent some quality time with grandma and grandpa this past weekend. He sure looks forward to their visits!

Survivor Man

Dallin loves to hide behind the bushes in our backyard....I love this picture of him despite the drool on his face. I think he is getting some new molars in.

Spending Time With Uncle Garrett!

Here is Dallin with his Uncle Garrett...he is 19 months old.
